My Philosophy

Study after study shows that fear and stress are not conducive to creativity or deeper learning — kids and young people need to feel at ease in order to learn. At the same time, boundaries and clear expectations are vital to cultivating critical thinking and more expansive language and writing skills.

Through prompts, games, music, and other creative methods, I strive to promote an environment that encourages self-confidence, thoughtfulness, and an appreciation for learning.

Some kids thrive through oral comprehension and movement; others express themselves best through writing and quietude. My goal is always to tailor lessons to your child’s strengths, while also working together to venture out of their comfort zone and build confidence with new skills.

Tutoring and Rates

I offer English lessons and English writing tutoring at all ages, whether your young child is just starting out and wants to expand basic grammar and vocabulary or your teenager is preparing for college and needs help wading through their essays — or anywhere in between.
